by Marcel Brugmans from WordFactory bv. Version 3.1.0: February 2001. Download this version: wfbatstat.zip (950KB).
wfBatStat is Freeware. You can freely distribute and duplicate this progam as long as you do not change anything. Feedback and requests for source code (Delphi 3) can be directed at the author: toolmaster@wordfactory.nl. Have a look at the companys website to check what else is going on: www.wordfactory.nl.
Use the wfBatStat utility to monitor the battery of your notebook. The program quickly and unobtrusively records and displays battery life in minutes instead of percentages (as Windows does). The power consumption of your battery is monitored by wfBatStat and the consumption data is stored in the Windows Registry. Therefore, the longer and more often you run wfBatStat, the more accurate it will calculate the remaining battery life in real minutes. Note: User settings can be reset with wfRegClean, a wfTool which is installed along with wfBatStat. See the wfRegClean page for more information.
The first time you run wfBatStat on your machine, no information is yet available on your particular battery. The longer and the more often you run wfBatStat, the more accurately the battery life in minutes can be calculated. Whenever you start wfBatStat, no calculations are performed for the first 2 percentage cycles as to avoid inaccurate measurements.
To reset the values on battery consumption stored by wfBatStat in the Registry:
wfBatStat is distributed as a zip file containing multiple Setup files. Unzip wfBatStat.zip in a temporary directory of your choice and double click Setup.exe. The Installer will guide you through the installation.
To remove wfBatStat from your system:
wfBatStat will automatically be removed from your system.
