DescriptionUse wfFilup to have a file automatically copied from a server/or other network location to your local hard disk and to secure that the most recent version of that file is always available for local use. An example use is the the copying of WinWord dot file at Windows Startup from a location where it is continuously being developed to your own Word startup directory.

Features / Uses

• copies any file on network (e.g. WinWord dot files, address books and custom apps) to local directories each time it runs and closes itself when copy operation has been succesful
• unobtrusive updating at Windows startup by creating link to wfFilup in Windows StartUp folder
• supports multiple copy operations by simply copying the executable under a different name
• settings for each instance are automatically saved in the Registry
• auto minimize on application switch
• automatic retry at user interval on unsuccesful update
• auto exit on succesful update

Running

Just run an instance of wfFilup and input the source and target file locations once. This information is stored in the Registry for future use. As a source you can specify a file on another computer or in another directory which you want to copy to your hard disk each time wfFilup runs.
If you place a shortcut to wfFilup in your Windows StartUp folder, the linked file will be copied each time Windows is (re)started. The master file on the network will remain available for development.
You can copy multiple files using wfFilup by simply copying wfFilup.exe, renaming the copy and run that copy. Settings for all renamed executables will be independently stored in the Registry.
wfFilup automatically minimizes once another application is selected and automatically exits once the update has been succesful.
You can set the number of minutes it will wait before exiting and whether a succesful update operation is required or not. The Retry update option adds further reliability to the tool while running in the background.
The tool can easily be reset using the wfTool wfRegClean.

Install

wfFilup is distributed as a zip file containing multiple Setup files.

Unzip wfFilup.zip in a temporary directory of your choice and double click Setup.exe. The Installer will guide you through the installation.

Uninstall

To remove wfFilup from your system:

• double click the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel
• select WordFactory wfFilup in the section listing the applications available
• click the Add/Remove button

wfFilup will automatically be removed from your system.
